The project involved the widening of the Ludhiana-Ferozepur Road (NH-95, now New NH-05) to 8 lanes, covering the section from Sidhawan Canal to the municipal limit. This led to enhanced roadway capacity and improved travel efficiency, facilitating better traffic flow and accommodating the increasing movement of vehicles in this densely populated region.
